MAX IV Laboratory
is located in Lund, Sweden
MAX IV is a Swedish national research laboratory and the successor of MAXlab. It operates the first ultimate storage ring and is the brightest X-ray source worldwide. MAX IV comprises the 3 GeV storage ring, the 1.5 GeV storage ring and the linear accelerator, which serves as the injector to both storage rings and to the short pulse facility which is used for fs X-ray pulse creation. MAX IV is starting regular user operations in 2017.
