MAX II - I711

Edit this I711 View change history for I711

Beamline Name I711
Primary Contact: NameYngve Cerenius
Owner/OperatorMax-Lab at Lund University
StatusDecommissioned
%Time Available (general use)100
ExperimentsMAD, SAXS, POWDER
Experiments DetailsThe beamline has a single crystal monochromator which provides a high photon flux at the sample while sacrificing easy tunability and high energy resolution. The experimental area is designed to have high flexibility for arranging different experimental set-ups and for easy exchange between different area and position sensitive detectors.
Source Details13-period, 1.8 T, multipole-wiggle
Spot Size (mm): Height0.3
Spot Size (mm): Width0.3
MonochromatorTriangular single crystal with horizontal diffraction plane
Crystal TypeSi (111)
MirrorsVertically focusing Pt coated Si Mirror - bendable for horizontal focusing
Flux(PHOTONS/SEC)1 x 10^11
Flux Detailsphotons/(sec 0.1% band width).calculated -> 1011 photons/sec for wavelenghts > 1 Å, behind slits 0.3 x 0.3 mm2. The additional 3 slit collimation of the incoming X-ray beam reduces the intensity to 1010 photons/sec for the SAXS experiments.
Wavelength Range (Å)0.81 - 1.55
Energy Range (keV)8.0 - 14.6
